Trumansburg is a vibrant village in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Easily accessible from Interstate Routes 81, 90, and 87, the Trumansburg area boasts a variety of recreation, entertainment, dining, lodging, shopping, and special event options to fill a day and beyond!
Trumansburg boasts a booming entertainment scene in our local bar restaurants and the bowling alley. The Farmers' Market and Taughannock Falls State Park also both offer weekly entertainment. In addition, The Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts offers impressive entertainment year-round, and is available to rent for your private event.
Those staying overnight have several options for accommodations. Choose from charming inns and bed & breakfasts, locally owned campgrounds and cabins along Cayuga Lake, and camping areas within the State Park and National Forest.
You can find everything you need right in Trumansburg! Find grocery and liquor stores to stock up for a picnic in the park. You can also find clothes and accessories, gifts, pottery and more made by local artists. If you stop by on a Wednesday evening in May through October, you will find all you need to cook an entire dinner at the Farmers' Market.
It won't be hard to find a restaurant that appeals to your liking in Trumansburg, as the area is filled with eateries with a wide range of cuisine. Many of the restaurants feature local, farm fresh ingredients in their dishes, and serve local wines, beers, and ciders.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy recreational opportunities in all seasons. Take advantage of the outdoor activities offered by Taughannock Falls State Park and the Black Diamond Trail. Take a day to explore the Finger Lakes National Forest or visit Smith Woods, an old-growth forest with trees that are 200 or more years old.
The Trumansburg area hosts a variety of special events throughout the year. Special event season kicks off in December with WinterFest, and annual tradition for 26 years. March brings the area Trumansburg Eats! Restaurant Week, followed by Porch Fest in June. Summer is packed with the Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance in July and the Trumansburg Fair in August, both of which are Trumansburg institutions of fun. Don't forget the Taughannock Falls State Park Concert Series, which is held on Saturday evenings all summer. The Trumansburg Farmers' Market also has weekly music all summer during their Wednesday market time.
